Nordoff & Robbins, a charity offering music therapy services and training, needed a new website to go along with their rebrand. Focus was on clearer user journeys for the different audiences, donations, and education around music therapy.
The project kicked off with stakeholder interviews with all the main departments within Nordoff & Robbins. These were to establish what currently works and what doesn’t, as well as the different user needs for the future website. All findings were collated on a FigJam board and played back to the core team.
I then carried out a competitor/comparator review, ranking various competitors on 7 aspects of their digital offering. This then lead to doing the information architecture, wireframes and prototyping.
The main challenges with this project were that the website had a lot more to do than a standard charity website. There was an enormous educational piece around what music therapy is, and who it can help. Nordoff & Robbins is also a provider of music therapy training and qualifications, as well as a research leader in the field, which added to the number of lenses that this site could be viewed from.
Conclusion
I moved on to a new project before the website went live, however it is now live and looking good.
